Lake argyle - El Questro
We left at 8.30am Lake Argyle for the short drive to El Questro (2-3hrs) after fuelling up in Kunnanurra.
After turning onto the Gibb River Road we came across the turn off to El Questro which was quite dusty and signs saying to turn our lights on for visibility to other cars. We arrived at El Questro at about 10.30. We were lucky enough to get some spots on the Pentecost river which runs through the park. It is crocodile free (so they tell us) crystal clear and very invigorating. The park is pretty full and lots are parked in full sun.
The cockatoos are very loud as are the odd crow. our neighbour was overheard to say 'wish I'd brought my 410'. Our solar panels are covered in bird poo.
We had a lazy arvo which was really nice. Swim in the river and just relaxing. Tomorrow we'll go on a few walks and check the area out. There's lots of gorges to see here.
