Lake Argyle

We had a lovely day at Lake Argyle and went into Kunnanurra to get supplies (bolt for camper) and battery holder. Plus groceries. We also went to the Ord River Rum Distillery and found out Jim and Phillipa Fletchers son Matt is married to the owners daughter. Karl rang his wife and we may catch up tomorrow with him. We also went to the Sandlewood gift shop and bought some goodies. This is also in the Ord River scheme cropping country and the boys were interested in that. Big Chia farming country up here.

We then went for a drive down to the Dam wall and took some spectacular photos of the water. Just amazed us that we could only see a minute part of this huge lake. The biggest man made lake in Australia. It also is amazing that the dam wall is so small and is holding back all that water.

We came back to the camp at 3.30 and had a very late lunch and then went for a swim in the 'infinity pool' (which means it feels like you're swimming on the edge of a cliff. One minus it was FREEZING!

We then came back had a drink, spoke to the neighbours. Did the repairs to our camper had tea and off to bed.

Tomorrow we are heading to El Questro for a couple of days then the Bungle Bungles.
