Day 6 Boroloola- Roper-Bar

We bushed camped on the side of the road at a little spot that Jodie's Wiki-camps app found for us on Ryan's Bend rd. Was on a little creek and poor Zac was terrified that a croc would come up and attack us.

We all had a refreshing cold shower on Taylor's shower and after much oohs and ahhs and laughter from the camp we all had showers and Meaghan JUST got her bits washed.

We stopped for a toilet break at Southern Lost City where there are beautiful rock formations. Looking out for water buffalo, seen their poos, but not them - yet.

Road very rough and bull dusty in places. Dust getting into our kitchen and Taylor's kitchen. But not on our beds - thank god.

Heading to Roper Bar to camp tonight where we can have a real shower and do some washing. A real toilet will be nice as well. Ground a bit hard for digging holes!

Just left the beautiful Adels grove, where co-indecently we had a drink with Pete Frith and Roger and Di Lyne. Jan was cooking their tea. Drove on the Savannah Way to Doomagee and did a drive through and we are now on our way to Hells Gate. Meaghans birthday today and she's ordered pizza , yogis syrup dumplings with cream n custard! Not bad for a bush camp feed. I've bought a packet choc cake and directions say mix on low for 3 mins then on high. I figure, I'll be low speed and Jodie can be high speed!!!!!! Hahaha.

Day 10

Today the we split from the group and head into Darwin a day earlier than everyone. Catch up with my brother and his family. The camp we are in now is gorgeous. Green grass! Brad is in heaven. We all are. Red dirt is overrated we've decided. I took this photo from bed. What a view!
